Sponsors Dinner at the 2019 NYS FFA Convention

The NY FFA Foundation is pleased to announce the first sponsors dinner to be hosted at the 2019 New York State FFA Convention in Syracuse, NY on May 2nd. The evening will begin with admission to the first general session of State Convention where sponsors will be recognized for their support of NY FFA and Agriculture Education. At the conclusion of the session, attendees will make their way to the Syracuse Marriott for a cocktail and social hour followed by a dinner program with a number of guest speakers including a key note presentation. Following the Sponsors Dinner those who attended will be welcome to join NY FFA to watch Chris Lane perform an exclusive concert for a reduced price of only $10.00.

This years Sponsors Dinner Keynote is Dr. Jason Evans. Evans is an Associate Professor of Agricultural Business Management at SUNY Cobleskill, where he also serves as Chair of the Department of Agriculture & Food Management and Director of the Institute for Rural Vitality. Before joining the SUNY Cobleskill faculty in 2009, Dr. Evans was an Assistant Research Professor at West Virginia University, where he earned a Ph.D. in Natural Resource Economics in 2007. At SUNY Cobleskill, Dr. Evans teaches a variety of courses in agricultural economics, agricultural policy, marketing and more. In his role with the College’s Institute for Rural Vitality, he oversees the operations of the Mohawk Valley Farm & Food Business Incubator, coordinates START-UP NY programming and works closely with regional and local partners to meet community and economic development needs with the College’s academic programs, faculty and students.
