Mr. Alfred Chapin retired from teaching agriculture in 1992 from New Berlin Central School (Unadilla Valley). Al and his family have offered to match up to $100,000 in FFA Chapter donations and pledges toward this project. We are reaching out to you, our FFA members in NY, to make a minimum 5 year pledge of $1000 to help us reach this goal. (See the pledge chart below to see what your pledge could look like. All chapters who make the pledge to contribute will be recognized on a wall inside the Al & Joan Chapin FFA Chapter Hall. This 100 person multi-purpose room will serve as a classroom, meeting space, and additional dining.

Chapter Hall |
The brand new kitchen and dining hall being built at Oswegatchie will also include a 100 person multi-purpose space to be used as a classroom, meeting space, and over-flow dining. This space will bear the name “Alfred & Joan Chapin Chapter Hall. Oswegatchie has a history of being supported by our FFA chapters in NYS. From the inception of purchasing Oswegatchie on July 18, 1946, to the dedication of Sutlif Lodge in 1968, and many projects over the past four decades, FFA Chapters have been asked to support Oswegatchie with dedicated donations to continue to make camp a better place. Today with the generous gift from the Chapin Family, we are asking each of our FFA chapters across NYS to make a minimum pledge of $1,000 to be paid over one to four years. All chapters that participate will be permanently recognized in the Chapin Chapter Hall. Say yes to a pledge of $1,000!
